When you get on a Disney Cruise, everyone wants to maximize your fun during the cruise trip. Disney Cruise is not only for kids but for adults too! All the activities and food during your stay on Disney Cruises entertain all of the generations. One of the popular choices and my favorite indulgent is a Spa room called Rainforest Room. Did you know there are jacuzzis and Saunas that you can use on the Disney Cruise? The Spa is only for ages 18+ and it is not complimentary. I know Disney Cruise is not cheap at all so an additional charge for spa will make you think, Hmm, you may want to wait and see. For those of you who have to think about the additional charge, I would like to share my review and help you decide if it’s worth it or not!

ABOUT THE RAINFOREST PASS

The Rainforest Room Pass grants you unlimited access to the enchanting Rainforest Room within the Senses Spa on your Disney Cruise, offering luxuries such as Jacuzzi, dry and steam Saunas, and heated stone loungers. The Senses spa which includes the rainforest room is open from 8 am to 10 pm. While previously this pass could only be bought after boarding, it’s now possible to reserve it in advance. Due to limited availability, it’s recommended to make reservations if you’re interested. The pass costs (for 5 nights): $89 per person or $159 for couples (prices may vary depending on the cruise ship and length of stay).

It’s also fine if you prefer to see it first before deciding. There’s an open house at the spa on the first day, where you can tour the facilities before making a purchase. However, with the pass being limited in number, booking in advance is advisable for cruises during peak seasons for peace of mind.

HOW TO USE RAINFOREST

First, you show your stateroom key at the spa reception and they’ll give you wristbands that will be the key to the Rainforest room. You can borrow robes if you would like. In the Rainforest room, clothing is required. Put on your swimsuits before you come or you can change in the locker room. So, don’t forget to pack swimsuits and sandals if you consider purchasing the pass.

Dry Sauna on DCL Dream

The Rainforest room on DCL has one dry sauna and two steam rooms inside. Look at this Ocean view from the dry sauna! I read some articles about how hot this dry sauna is before we got on board but when we were on Disney Dream this time, it was not so hot and my husband and I got to stay longer than we thought.

Although the steam room has no windows like the Dry Sauna, it seemed very spacious inside.

There are showers with various temperatures from cold to hot. You can conveniently take those showers after or before the dry sauna and the steam room.

Relaxing in the Jacuzzi with Panoramic Ocean Views on DCL Dream

On Disney Dream, two jacuzzis are located outside. Those are small, which fits only two people for each one. Look at this view from the jacuzzi! This is the ultimate place to indulge yourself.

Relaxing on Heated Stone Loungers: A DCL Dream Indulgence

While the jacuzzi and sauna are recommended, these heated loungers are the best place to relax! Lie in a warm chair and gaze out at the ocean, read a book, or take a nap. It was a time when I could truly feel like this was a vacation!

Amenities Await at the Rainforest Spa

Water, towels, and bathrobes are provided at the Rainforest Spa while it’s open. It made our trip to the Rainforest room easy and we can go empty-handed.

With a Rainforest pass, you can also use the locker rooms for spa customers.
When I hear the word locker room, I know you are like, ” Umm, So?”
Let me tell you the big benefit of using the locker room, ” You can take showers here!”

People are hanging out and eating at a Western themed restaurant, "Last Kind Words Saloon & Steakhouse" in Death Valley.

Here are the reasons why you want to have this privilege.

  • It is located on the same floor as the pool, you can take a shower at the spa after using the pool.
  • No need to shower in your stateroom: If you use one stateroom with a group of family or friends, you will wait for your turn to take a shower.
  • Spacious shower room: The shower room is way bigger than the one in our stateroom. There is also a bench in the shower room where you can put your change of clothes. There is a large mirror to use after the shower, a hair dryer, and some amenities are provided as well.

The Ultimate Advantages of the Rainforest Room

  • Unlimited usage.
  • Adult-only quiet environment where you can escape and feel so luxurious.
  • You can use their shower facility in the spa locker room.

The Few Downsides of the Rainforest Room Experience

  • It is an additional charge.
  • The rainforest is for guests over 18 years old only, a separate nursery fee will be charged for guests with young children (6 months to 3 years.)

What do you think about the Rainforest Room? Not only the dry sauna and steam room, you can enjoy a relaxing environment with an ocean view. In fact, my husband and I went there for 3 days and it was very relaxing. Every time I remember a Disney cruise, I want to go to the Rainforest Room again, and I’ll do my best to go again! It also motivates me.

Essential Guide: What to Pack for Your Rainforest Room Visit

  • Swimsuits
  • Changing clothes
  • Washcloth from your stateroom if you will be using the shower
