Looking for a peaceful luxury hotel on the Las Vegas Strip without a casino?

We chose the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, a high-end hotel located in the heart of the Strip. This is not your typical Vegas resort. There’s no casino, no nightclubs, and no loud crowds. Instead, you’ll find peaceful vibes, top-tier service, and amazing views over the Strip.

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas feels calm, elegant, and refreshingly different. In this review, we share what we loved, like the non-smoking, non-casino setting, panoramic views, and sky bar, plus a few things families should know before booking.

What Families Should Know

1. The Bathroom Design Offers Little Privacy

The bathroom features a stylish glass wall design that looks modern and elegant at first glance. However, once we settled in, we realized that the bathtub, shower, and even toilet area were almost completely visible from the room.

There is a sliding privacy panel on the bedroom side, but our family didn’t notice it until right before check-out. To our surprise, even the toilet area is see-through. For families or friends sharing a room, this setup can feel a little awkward when someone is using the bathroom while others are getting ready. It made us wonder, why does the toilet need to be transparent at all?

2. Limited Availability of Two-Bed Rooms

When booking, we noticed that rooms with two beds are very limited at this property. During our stay, they were already fully booked, so we stayed in a room with one king bed and an extra rollaway bed (thankfully provided as a Hilton Diamond member benefit).

If you’re traveling as a family or with friends and need two separate beds, it’s best to book early and confirm your room type in advance.

3. Not Designed with Kids in Mind

This hotel is clearly designed for adults who value calm, refined spaces. From the lobby to the restaurants and the pool area, the entire atmosphere feels quiet and sophisticated. It’s not the kind of place where children can run around or play freely.

The pool area was also very quiet and geared toward adults. There were no pool toys, floats, or splash zones, and the environment encouraged relaxation rather than play.

That said, compared to some other Las Vegas hotels with “party-style” pools full of loud music and drinking, the peaceful vibe here was a welcome change. It felt safe and calm, which made it easier to enjoy as a family, even without kid-specific amenities.

Is It Family-Friendly? Our Honest Take

After staying here as a family, we felt that this hotel is a great fit for trips that center around adult comfort, but it may not be the most practical choice for families with young children.

The room was spacious and incredibly quiet, which we appreciated. However, the limited two-bedroom options and the open-style bathroom design made it a bit less convenient for a family stay.

We also didn’t see many child-focused amenities or services during our visit. Because of that, we think this hotel may feel a little challenging for families with small kids.

That said, for families traveling with teens or for those who simply want a peaceful, upscale place to relax together, Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas can still be a wonderful option as long as you’re okay with the bathroom layout.

Final Verdict: Why Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Might Be Your Ideal Peaceful Getaway

If you’re looking for a calm, elegant escape in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is a clear standout.

This hotel offers a refreshing contrast to the typical Vegas experience; no casino, no nightlife noise, just refined tranquility in the heart of the action. It feels more like an upscale urban sanctuary than a party-centric resort, making it a rare find on the Strip.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, the service is genuinely attentive, and the views overlooking the Strip are nothing short of breathtaking. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a relaxing trip with friends, or a quiet celebration with loved ones, Waldorf Astoria delivers a luxurious experience that feels both peaceful and polished.

We stayed as a family and found plenty to enjoy, though depending on your travel style, there are a few things to keep in mind. Still, it’s hard to find another property in Las Vegas that balances calm, comfort, and sophistication quite like this one.

Bottom line: Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is one of the best choices for travelers seeking a serene, high-end retreat amid the energy of the Strip. It’s the kind of place where you can truly recharge, unwind, and still enjoy everything Las Vegas has to offer without the chaos.

If your idea of Vegas leans more toward elegance than excess, this is exactly where you’ll want to stay.
